I cannot believe I haven't posted since the end of August!!
*slaps own hand*
But I'm back and will be trying to keep to my promise of blogging at least once a week!
I will try and fill you in on where I have been these past 3 weeks!
September has been a mad month of crocheting, holidaying, organising and Christmas!
I went away to Murcia, Spain a few weeks ago with my nan to visit my parents who live over there. I'm very glad I packed light. It was 36 degrees!! I spent most of my time trying to soak up some sun and crochet these little beauties
Yes, I know! Snowflakes in the sun!!
I loved doing these. they are based on a pattern from Attic24. If you haven't been over to Lucy's blog yet where have you been!! She is the ultimate crocheter and has some beautiful pics.
I've done a few different snowflake patterns now, making them up as I go. They are drying at the moment after being stiffened with starch so I can hang them on the tree.
I love how each of them are different - just like real snowflakes!
I also crocheted this for my mom whilst I was there
A huge 12" table centre, brought home to be blocked and will be sent back to sunny spain in time for Christmas
I loved the way the colours popped in this table centre and had a pattern for some petal hexagons so had a go and came up with these
I think these deserved to be made into a blanket so thats what will happen! Only 4 colours: Cream, fuchsia, purple and light turquoise. But makes such an impact. The colours are from the Sublime range, in extra fine merino wool dk.
As you may know I organise a local handmade craft fair at my local pub and had to decide whether to do a fair on 26th Nov or 10th Dec, but as it turns out there was so much interest we are doing both! We sold out for Nov in 3 days and for Dec in just 24 hours!! I couldn't believe it! I am so proud of all my crafters for being involved and look forward to both dates.
I can also be found at other craft fairs over the coming months and details will be on my website under Events
I have also been updating my website and you can now find these wonderful coasters on sale at the moment for just £9.9 per set of 4 including p&p!
I will also be adding make up bag sets - with my soon to be released crocheted face scrubs and cloths made from quality 100% cotton in complimentary colours to the make up bags.
I think these will make excellent presents for birthdays or Christmas - I have already given one set to my best friend for her birthday and she loved it! (Thank you Becky!)
Speaking of Christmas my felt decorations are on the website!
Only £8 for a set of 2.
Completely hand cut, hand sewn and embellished from my own designs made with 30% wool felt and buttons from the lovely Emma at Sew Sweet
If you need felt, buttons, ribbons, findings - she's your woman!
And I'm very lucky that she lives around the corner! So I get to go over and spend a lovely few hours rummaging through the felt and buttons and oohing and ahhing over the ribbons :) Bliss
I will leave you with a sneak peek at my other Christmas decorations in the making!
The felt letters are from Emma at Sew Sweet
